Kelly graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in Psychology in 2000, with a focus on Developmental Psychology and Attachment Theory. She completed her Master's in Counseling in 2002 at University of San Diego. She has worked in several areas of counseling over the past 20 years including child & family outpatient and residential counseling, emergency outreach and assessment & triage work, all primarily using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques.
In recent years, has focused her work and study on Mindfulness techniques within the framework of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including MBCT, MiCBT, ACT and Intuitive Eating Models.
Kelly specializes in work with adults with anxiety, chronic pain and depression to change thinking patterns while using meditation and mindfulness to gain insight and find happiness through acceptance.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and exploring nature by foot and bike.
Ms. Sestero is currently accepting new clients for individual therapy as well as Clinical Supervision.
